God made us to fellowship with Him. God loves us so much. We were separated from Him when Adam and Eve sinned. They were deceived by satan to believe in his lie.
Romans 3:23 - for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God"
Sin had to be punished and God knew that men could not be perfect before Him. He had a plan. He plan was to send Jesus to earth to live a sinless life as man and He was crucified on the cross at Golgotta. He paid the price for our sins, iniquities, and transgressions.
Romans 6:23 - For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in[a] Christ Jesus our Lord.
He was beaten, bruised, and scorned. Nobody recognized Him and many despised Him. Nobody understood Him or the plan that God has for Jesus.
1 Timothy 2:5-6 (New International Version, ©2011)
5 For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus, 6 who gave himself as a ransom for all people. This has now been witnessed to at the proper time.
He went through everything that mankind can experience and He knows us completely. He knew us before we were born and created us. God delights in us as we delight in Him. Jesus was buried in the grave and three days later He rose from the dead. He rose victory and lives even today. He lives in the hearts of those who believe in Him.
Ephesians 1:20-21 ESV
(20) that he worked in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly places, (21) far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and above every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come.
Romans 10:9-10 says, 9 "If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved."
We are a new creation in Him for all who believe. God works in our hearts daily.

Lord Jesus forgive me for my sins. I know that I am a sinner. I believe you died for me and rose from the grave after 3 days. I ask you to come into my heart and my life to be my personal Lord and Saviour. Please teach me your ways and I renounce everything addiction and agreement that I have made with anything that is not of you. Fill me with your Holy Spirit and show me your truth. Protect me with your blood in Jesus name. Amen.
Now you are a child of God. It is good to have a good regular local church that teaches God's word to attend to grow spiritually in the Lord. It is also your protection from deception. It's wise to fellowship with other believers and to study the bible daily as well as to have a daily prayer time to grow mature. God will reveal Himself to you and speak to you this way. He will also bring other people into your life to minister to you.
